We are seeking a digitally proficient financial journalist to cover companies in the Dow Jones Newswires regional hub in Singapore. You will be responsible for sending headlines and writing fast stories and updates on the most important news of the day for our audience of financial professionals. You will be expected to chase and break market-moving news and as well as provide real-time coverage of stock markets around Asia with a close eye on big moves in individual stocks and the factors that are driving them.
You will be part of a multilingual team and as such will have native fluency in one of the major languages in the region as well as the skills to write the news for an English-language readership. You will also be able to identify the most important elements of major news releases, and send fast, accurate copy under tight deadlines. You must have a strong sense of urgency, excellent communication skills and an understanding of how to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment. A background in corporate or markets coverage would be a plus.
